London, Notting Hill , Salary £40,000-£45,000 per annumA warm and loving family in Notting Hill is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nanny/Housekeeper to care for their 5.5-year-old son. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childcare, household management, and a strong background in providing high-quality support for a busy family.
The position is Live-in, and offers an opportunity for international travel across Europe. A French-Speaking Nanny is highly preferred, as the family is keen for their son to learn and be immersed in the French language.
Key Responsibilities
Provide loving, attentive care for the 5.5-year-old boy, including school pickups, playtime, meal preparation, and bedtime routines
Help with homework, and provide educational activities that foster the child's development
Keep the child's bedroom and play areas tidy and organised
Assist with light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and general tidying of common areas
Prepare healthy, balanced meals for the child, and occasionally for the family
Ensure the child's safety and well-being at all times
Organise and participate in fun and educational outings
Travel with the family to European destinations, and assist in childcare and household management whilst abroad
Desired Skills & Experience
Previous experience as a Nanny/Housekeeper in a private household, with experience caring for young children
Fluency in French is strongly preferred to support the child's language development
A nurturing, patient, and calm demeanour with excellent communication skills
Ability to manage a variety of household duties efficiently and independently
Flexible, reliable, and willing to travel with the family
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Must have an understanding of child development, and be proactive in engaging the child in educational and creative activities
Ideal Candidate
Someone with a warm, loving nature who is passionate about working with children and supporting a family's daily life
A French speaker, ideally with a background or interest in early childhood education
A self-starter who is trustworthy, discreet, and has a keen eye for detail
Flexible, energetic, and enthusiastic about travelling with the family
ScheduleFull-time, live-in position. Some flexibility required for travel and occasional evening/weekend work
Salary£40,000 - £45,000 per annum (negotiable for the right candidate)
