Finance Manager

Salary: £40,000 per annum pro rata

Location: Near Tiverton

Contract: Part-time, Permanent

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function within this organisation. This is a role suited to a QBE Accountant and ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, responsibility, and being a trusted business partner to senior leadership. The role is available on 4 days a week, permanent with some hybrid working. The role is not remote.

The RoleReporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all financial activities, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and insightful analysis to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Full responsibility for the finance function, including month-end and year-end processes

Preparation of management accounts, budgets, and forecasts

Cashflow management and financial planning

VAT returns and statutory compliance

Managing relationships with external accountants, auditors, and HMRC

Developing and maintaining financial controls and processes

Providing financial insight and support to senior management

About you

Proven experience in a similar Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role

Comfortable working independently in a stand-alone position

Strong technical accounting knowledge

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Confident communicator with the ability to explain financial information clearly

Part qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by experience
