What you'll be doingFrom the Highlands to the Islands, our teams are delivering nationally significant power infrastructure to connect renewables, strengthen resilience and support Pathway to 2030. As a Graduate Site Engineer, your job will help plan and build vital infrastructure like Substations, including delivery of overhead lines and underground cables. You'll work on‐site, learning how to support the delivery of Power Transmission projects. These are multi‐year projects with stable work pipelines, opportunities for progression and the chance to partner closely with major clients. You will gain hands‐on experience in design, installation, and maintenance, while ensuring all works meet technical standards and safety requirements.
Who we're looking forFor graduates with a degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering (BEng or MEng), our programme offers formal training and on‐the‐job learning, with a strong focus on career progression and growth opportunities. It's designed to help you transition into your chosen field and build a successful career path. To be eligible, you must obtain a minimum 2:2 Honours degree before starting the role. This role is based on site and requires travel on‐site and between locations. Before joining Balfour Beatty, you must hold a full UK driver's licence. Offers for this position will be subject to pre‐employment checks and a security check, which may be a Basic DBS / BPSS check. This role may be based on any of our projects across Scotland. We will work with you to select projects you're most excited about, and you may be working away from home, where reasonable travel and accommodation expenses may be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
