At Bobbins, we provide residential supported living care to children with severe physical or learning disabilities, including autism. Supported by a highly trained staff team, the children are encouraged to strive for independence, however that looks for them as an individual.

What you'll be working :We're flexible, if you are looking for a full time SeniorSupport Worker, your hours are based on a rota working every other weekend.

Oncall

Full Time 42 hours per week

Working everyother weekend

Sleep ins.

What you'll be doing :

Supporting our clients with daily activities

Effectively lead the shift by ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained at all times.

Supporting their care plans to establish routine

Ensure that all service users have up-to-date risk assessments and person centered plans in place and review and update as required with the service manager

Ensure the client feels safe, and stable within their day to day care

Personal Care*

Cover all aspects of the support worker role as and when required to work on the floors in order to meet the needs of the service.

To be part of the on call team

Responsible for attending and completing all mandatory training.

Administrating medication (if required)

Support service users with physical disabilities using trained techniques and aids hoists, wheelchairs, modified bathing equipment

What you'll have :

Strong organisational, time management, planning and communication skills.

Flexible, professional, and positive approach to multi-site working.

Level 3 NVQ or QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care or be willing to work towards.

Sound working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)

Proven reliability in terms of full attendance and timekeeping.

Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual.

Self-confidence and ability to manage challenging situations

Driving License would be preferable

Ability to address and respond to employee issues in a fair and consistent manner.
