This role as a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare's Hanford Court Care Home in Stoke on Trent is an opportunity to make a positive impact on residents' lives every day. As part of a caring and supportive team, you'll deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, inclusive environment.

Main duties of the jobYour focus will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities will include monitoring resident wellbeing, involvement in care planning, supporting with medication, and undertaking staff supervisions.

Job responsibilitiesOther responsibilities will include:

Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, ensuring changes are recorded and care plans updated as needed.

Being involved in the person‐centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.

Supporting residents with their medication requirements.

Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development where required.

Acting as a key point of contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Shift details21:30 - 07:30, includes weekends and bank holidays.

Ideal candidate

Have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.

Have at least 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.

Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Have a positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff.

Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
