Junior Consultant (Client-Facing) | Startup (Compliance)

Job description

Note: You must be London-based and able to work on‐site (4 days per week) in our office, 3 min from North Greenwich station.

EdgeComply is a product compliance service provider for manufacturers worldwide. The headache we solve: to sell products in Europe and beyond, manufacturers need certifications like CE marking. Otherwise, they risk fines, product recalls, and personal prosecution.

But the process is confusing, and the market is dominated by slow, old‐school behemoths that are a pain to work with.

That's where we come in: We are a modern, agile, digital, and fast compliance consultancy. Our Project Managers work on‐site in London and are supported by a vast, highly vetted pool of remote compliance experts who execute the technical work.

As a Junior Consultant, you work directly with manufacturers to help them navigate complex regulatory decisions that impact their ability to sell products internationally.

You'll be involved from the first serious client conversation through project initiation, helping diagnose problems, structure solutions, and guide clients through unfamiliar territory. This role blends analytical thinking, communication, and commercial judgment.

It's an ideal entry point for someone interested in consulting, advisory work, or client‐facing problem solving in a fast‐moving firm.

Engage with clients to understand their product, market, and regulatory challenges

Ask structured questions to clarify risks, constraints, and priorities

Translate client situations into clear compliance pathways

Work with internal experts to design appropriate engagement scopes

Prepare structured proposals and advisory materials

Present recommendations in a clear, client‐friendly way

Support the transition from advisory discussion to active project

Ensure internal teams are briefed on client context and expectations

Participate in client calls and kick‐offs

Act as a reliable point of contact during early engagement stages

Clarity and quality of client understanding

Soundness of recommended solutions

Professionalism in client interactions

Smoothness of engagement setup and onboarding

Analytical Thinker: You enjoy breaking down messy problems

Client‐Comfortable: You communicate clearly with professionals

Structured & Precise: You value clarity over fluff

Commercially Aware: You understand constraints, budgets, and trade‐offs

Coachability: You take feedback seriously and improve fast

Detail‐Oriented: You notice what others miss

This is a full‐time, on‐site role.

Minimum 4 days/week in our office at the Design District (easy 3‐minute walk from North Greenwich station)

Flexibility for occasional remote work

Occasional evening calls with West Coast US clients (8–9 pm London time)

WHAT YOU GET

Commission‐Based Upside: Salary plus uncapped performance commissions

Career Foundation: Strong base for consulting, account management, or commercial roles

Free Lunches: When in the office, your lunch is on us (often via Calo).

Gym Membership: We pay your gym/fitness bills up to £70 per month.

Startup Atmosphere: Things move fast, with massive room for personal and professional growth.

Inspiring Workspace: Spacious, light‐filled studio in one of London's most creative hubs.

Tech Equipment: Company MacBook, displays, and any other equipment you need to perform.

Educational Budget: £300/yr on courses, training, books, or anything to help you develop your skill set
