OverviewAtkinsRéalis is a world‐class engineering services and nuclear organization dedicated to designing and delivering major projects across transportation, infrastructure, environment, water, energy, defence, technology and aerospace. The Health and Safety Graduate Scheme places new graduates in a cross‐functional team where they will support sustainable solutions that connect people, data and technology.

Responsibilities

Assist with health and safety planning and risk assessments on a range of projects, from large infrastructure works with clients such as TfL, Gatwick Airport and Thames Water to public building projects like primary school extensions and heritage sites.

Support project teams in maintaining compliance with regulatory and client health and safety requirements.

Prepare safety documentation, conduct site inspections and contribute to incident investigations and corrective actions.

Collaborate with designers, contractors and stakeholders to embed safety best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Participate in training and professional development modules and progress toward professional accreditation where applicable.

Commitment to spend a minimum of three days a week in the office or on client site.

Additional InformationThis role may require a security clearance ; offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require proof of UK residency of 5 years or longer. Refer to the UKSV page for more details.

Training and DevelopmentThe graduate development programme offers a series of training events, modules, mentoring and on‐job experience. You will work on real projects from day one, gaining exposure across service sectors and progressing toward professional accreditation where applicable.
