Overview Tutor for 13-Year-Old Boy with AutismWe are seeking a kind, patient, and experienced tutor to join a home-based educational program for a 13-year-old boy with autism.The student He is a gentle, non-aggressive child with a big smile. He can read and write and is working at around a KS2 level, though he still enjoys activities that reflect his younger, playful side. He has auditory processing difficulties and learns best through visual, structured, and engaging methods.The program The tutoring will take place at home under the supervision of a qualified educational consultant, with input and support from a Speech & Language Therapist. Full training will be provided in the teaching strategies and tools that work best for him.What we're looking for Minimum 2 years' experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN), ideally in Early Years, KS1, or KS2 settings.Fluency in clear spoken and written English (required).Enthusiasm, kindness, and professionalism.A genuine passion for supporting children with autism and a willingness to learn effective, evidence-based teaching approaches.Licence/Certification: DBS (preferred).Applicants must be comfortable working in a home with a Labrador.Around 20 hours per week (flexible mornings and afternoons, Monday to Friday).Based in Cambridge.Pay & application We offer competitive rates of pay to the right person, with the hourly rate negotiable depending on experience.To apply, please submit:Your CVHourly rate expectationsSeniority level Entry levelEmployment type ContractJob function Education and Training
