Junior Legal Support Specialist

Our leading law firm client is looking to recruit a law graduate or legal paralegal to join their Smarter Working team as a Junior Legal Support Specialist

The role can be based in either the Glasgow or Edinburgh office.

Prior experience in a similar position is not essential, however, a genuine interest in legal technology, innovation, and process improvement is required. The role is ideal for someone with a methodical and organised approach, strong attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

What you'll do

Act as the primary liaison between practice group stakeholders and the Smarter Working team across the project portfolio

Support the scoping, definition, delivery, testing, and successful completion of initiatives

Serve as a subject matter expert for key legal technology tools, supporting operational use and advising on appropriate use cases

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product functionality, enhancements, and emerging capabilities

Contribute to the development of clear, user-friendly guidance materials and support the delivery of training

Monitor and analyse usage data and user feedback to drive continuous improvement

Support the piloting and firm-wide rollout of legal technology tools and products, including coordination of pilot programmes, testing, project management, and change management activities

Assist with the firm's process efficiency programme, including organising and preparing for project meetings, attending workshops, and drafting documentation, process maps, and toolkits

What You'll Need

Law graduate or experienced legal paralegal with experience working within a law firm

Strong interest in legal technology, including AI and emerging technologies, and their application to legal practice (prior experience in a similar role is not essential)

Proactive, "can-do" approach to problem solving, with openness to new ideas and continuous improvement

Keen to expand knowledge of legal practice and develop new technical and digital skills

Highly accurate and methodical, with strong attention to detail

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing

Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines

Experience working within a busy team environment and managing competing priorities
