Hereford Rowing Club – Part-Time Senior Rowing Coach & Club Development Coordinator Hereford Rowing Club (HRC) seeks an enthusiastic and proactive Part-Time Senior Rowing Coach & Club Development Coordinator to deliver high-quality coaching and support the development of senior and adaptive rowing within the club.The Role This role combines coaching delivery with operational support, inclusive rowing development, andcontribution to the club's long-term sustainability through outreach, funding support, and improvedorganisational capacity.Key Responsibilities Coaching & Athlete Development Deliver regular water and land-based coaching sessions, including evenings and weekendsProvide technical coaching, feedback, and structured training guidanceSupport Learn to Row programmes and transition new rowers into senior squadsCoach and support crews at regattas, head races, and club events as requiredAdaptive Rowing & Inclusive Participation Deliver and support adaptive and visually impaired rowing sessionsHelp develop structured and progressive participation pathwaysWork with volunteers and partner organisations to provide safe and inclusive opportunitiesSupport the growth and sustainability of inclusive rowing programmesOperational Support & Coordination Assist with training coordination, crew planning, and race preparationSupport race entries (BROE), trailer logistics, and event organisationAssist with equipment preparation, rigging, and basic maintenance checksMaintain attendance records, training logs, and crew listsSupport grant applications, funding bids, and reporting requirementsAssist with outreach to community groups, disability organisations, and potential partnersContribute to membership recruitment, taster sessions, and club development initiativesSupport improvements to governance, safety processes, and club organisationMaintain clear and accurate records relating to training, participation, and development activitiesProvide regular updates to the Club Captain on coaching, operational needs, and developmentopportunitiesSupport the smooth coordination of club activities and programmesAttend relevant club meetings and development sessions as requiredGeneral Responsibilities Uphold high standards of safety, safeguarding, and conductPromote a positive, inclusive, and supportive club cultureAdhere to all Hereford Rowing Club and British Rowing policies and proceduresUndertake reasonable duties as required to support club developmentPerson Specification British Rowing Coaching Award (Level 2 or equivalent)Experience coaching adult athletesStrong organisational and communication skillsCommitment to inclusive sportSafeguarding and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Experience with adaptive or visually impaired rowingFamiliarity with BROE, ClubHub, or British Rowing systemsThe position is initially offered on a 12-month fixed-term basis, with potential extension subject to funding and club needs.Salary: Dependent on experienceType: Part time, 15 hours per weekApplication Dates: From Friday 20th February 2026 to Thursday 12th March 2026
