HGV Refuse Drivers

Location: Local routes
Pay: £17.47 per hour (Weekdays) - Higher rates for weekends and overtime
Contract: On-going temporary, with the potential to become permanent
Blue Arrow is looking for reliable and experienced HGV Drivers to join our team for refuse and recycling collection across local routes. If you're an HGV driver seeking a stable, long-term opportunity that could lead to a permanent role, apply today!
Key Responsibilities
Drive along designated routes to collect refuse and recycling waste.
Check routes for safety restrictions, planned roadworks, and traffic to ensure smooth operations.
Complete all required paperwork, including job logs and incident reports.
Perform daily vehicle checks and report any issues promptly.
Adhere to site rules and regulations, including correct PPE usage.
Shift Details
Monday to Friday with potential evening and weekend overtime.
Choose between AM or PM shifts:
AM Shifts: Start at 5:00 AM, 6:00 AM, or 7:00 AM
PM Shifts: 12:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Approx. 6.5 hours per shift.
Requirements
Valid HGV license.
Minimum 6 months HGV driving experience.
Ability to complete enhanced compliance checks (Right to Work, references, proof of address, National Insurance number, etc.).
Strong attention to safety and reliability.
