Position: Dispensing Optician

Salary: £32,500-£37,500 (DOE)

Location: Exmouth, Devon

Role Description

We're looking for an individual that shows attention to detail, enjoys taking initiative and possesses high emotional intelligence. The successful candidate will be encouraged to prioritise client delight over blindly meeting targets, will bring their own style and passion to the table, and will enjoy being an integral part of a close-knit, supportive team, working alongside the practice owner. Basic lab experience (repairs/adjustments, lens ordering & assembly of remote-edged jobs) is preferred but not essential; training & familiarisation on technology & practice management system (Optix) will be provided to bring the successful candidate up to speed.

Requirements

• Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong focus on delivering excellent customer service
• Attention to detail and a passion for providing personalised eyewear solutions
• Proactive and organized, with the ability to work effectively as part of a small team

Other information

• This is a full-time role, but we could be flexible for the right candidate
• While we are seeking a qualified Dispensing Optician, we would consider taking on an experienced Optical Assistant (and potentially sponsoring them through the Ophthalmic Dispensing course)
