Job Summary:
Our Graduate Engineers are our future technical leaders and managers. The programme, for Graduates Engineers, provides opportunities for our candidates to develop skills and product knowledge, including leadership, customer interaction and the delivery of all aspects of the Engineering scope of supply to meet our high internal standards. Our Graduate Engineers can also work towards professional membership with a recognised professional body. At the end of the 18-month graduate programme, our engineers can use our well-established career ladders and development programmes, to further enhance their progression through the organisation. Your success will reward you with a lasting career as an expert working at the forefront of technological innovation.
Our 18-month development programme is split into 3 modules. After an initial period of onboarding, our Graduate Engineers will embark on two 6-month rotations across different Engineering Business Lines. Following this, 3 months will be spent at a manufacturing location, potentially one of our overseas facilities, before a final 3-month cross functional rotation in either Project Management or Sales and Tendering.
Based at our modern offices on the outskirts of Leeds, you will learn the business from the ground up to become a skilled and confident specialist in the sector. We offer a hybrid working pattern allowing you to benefit from working in the office and the flexibility of some time working from home. During the initial training period you will be required to be in the office for the majority of your working week.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
During the training programme your principal accountabilities will include:
1. Preparing engineering documentation which meet industry and client standards to enable the manufacturing group and other departments to machine, manufacture and assemble the company's product portfolio.
2. Carrying out design and development work under the guidance of experienced engineers to meet customers' and/or the industry's needs.
3. Working within internal procedures to ensure that design records/controls are maintained.
4. Developing in depth knowledge of our company products, design principles, manufacturing techniques, economic and safe design.
5. Participating in Value Engineering/Analysis initiatives.
6. Building a knowledge platform of subsea architecture and offshore operations
Qualification/Entry Requirements:
· Bachelors or master's degree in mechanical engineering (other closely related degrees considered).
· The desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic business on high value, technically complex products/projects
· The right to work in the UK
