Class 1 Driver

Job description

Our client based in Sittingbourne are currently looking for Class 1 Drivers.

The role will entail:

- Refrigerated distribution across a variety of locations.

- Delivering to RDCs and collections to and from farms.

- The shifts are on average 10 to 12 hours long.

- Some flexibility for start times as they may vairy.

- Mainly a driving role with minimal handling of the load.

A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

- Full Class 1 Driving licence (minimum of 1 year Class 1 experience).

- Valid Digital Tachograph and CPC card.

- No more than 6 points or have the following endorsement codes showing (DD or DR).

- Compliant to all rules and regulations within LGV driving.

- Good roadcraft/ Geographical knowledge.

Shifts available are predominantly Friday, Saturday & Sunday, with ad-hoc shifts available during the working week: -

Day start times 01.00 hours to 05.00 hours.

Afternoon start times 14.00 18.00 hours.

Night shift start times 19.00 hours to midnight

Our client offers long term work and can offer hours to suit on a part-time basis.

All candidates are required to pass our clients assessment prior to commencing which includes a written and practical driving test. (3-hour assessments are being held between Monday to Friday on days/ nights)

Pay Rates:

- Days - £16.70 p.h. (Monday to Friday).

- Nights - £17.80 p.h. (Monday to Friday).

- Saturday Day £20.00 p.h./ Night £20.70 p.h.

- Sunday + Bank Holiday Day £23.62 p.h./ Nights £25.87 p.h.

Newer Drivers to the industry with at 1 year Class 1 experience are welcome to apply.
