An international, full-service law firm is seeking a talented Pitch Executive or Senior Bids Executive to join its established central Bids function. The Role
You will play a key role in helping Partners and BD teams win work by producing persuasive, high‑quality pitches and proposals. Sitting within the central Bids team, you’ll collaborate with Bids Managers, Senior Bids Managers, BD Managers and subject‑matter experts across the firm.
This role offers exposure to a wide range of opportunities — from routine service-line bids to major panel tenders for FTSE100‑level clients. You’ll also contribute to the ongoing development of the firm’s bids infrastructure, systems and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of compliance questionnaires and smaller transactional tenders, including: Reviewing and summarising bid documents, coordinating kick‑off calls, managing inputs from Risk, HR, InfoSec and other stakeholders, drafting and refining pitch content and ensuring submissions are engaging, accurate and aligned to client requirements
- Support on strategic panel tenders and high‑value bids, taking ownership of specific sections or workstreams.
- Maintain and update the Bids Library, Bids Tracker and intranet content, ensuring information is accurate, searchable and up to date.
- Capture and share best practice, lessons learned and knowledge resources.
- Build strong internal relationships across the firm, developing an understanding of client needs, service lines and market positioning.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and self‑service tools, including the use of generative AI to drive efficiency.
- Support training and adoption of best practice across BD and the wider business.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will:
- Bring experience in bids, proposals or BD within professional services or a similarly fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrate excellent writing, editing and attention to detail.
- Be highly organised, calm under pressure and confident managing multiple deadlines.
- Have strong stakeholder‑management skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and jurisdictions.
- Show strong MS Office skills; familiarity with generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) is an advantage.
- Understand the legal market and the challenges faced by clients.
- Be a proactive team player with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
