Group Sales Manager (New Business)

Location: Midlands - Remote + Travel

Salary: Competitive basic + bonus


We are working with a rapidly expanding hotel group to find a tenacious and driven Group Sales Manager to join their central team. This is a brand-new role, perfect for a hunter salesperson who is not afraid to pick up the phone and win new business.


You will be responsible for proactively generating new business opportunities for a portfolio of six hotels located across the UK, from Greater Manchester to the Midlands and down to Salisbury.


This is a hands-on role focused on creating and growing a robust sales pipeline. You will work closely with on-property teams, you will act as a central pillar of support, identifying opportunities for the individual hotels.


The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of new business development experience. While hospitality experience is a plus, it is not required; your proven ability to generate leads and convert new business is what matters most.


We are looking for someone with a high level of curiosity and the ability to identify new revenue streams. You must be a natural team player who is also a strong leader, capable of coaching and mentoring the on-property teams.


Key Responsibilities:

● Actively qualify and research prospects from both internal leads and independent

searches.

● Engage in targeted sales activities, including making calls and conducting local market

blitzes to uncover new opportunities.

● Hit a new business revenue target of approximately £500k across the group.

● Manage the sales process from initial outreach and needs identification to rate proposals

and securing contracts.

● Collaborate with key account managers from major brands (IHG, Marriott, Accor) to

include the hotels in RFPs and booking portals.


Compensation & Benefits:

● Salary: Competitive

● Bonus: 2.5% commission on all new business.
