Area Sales Manger Eastern Region
Company Overview
Aquabion UK Limited is a growing business with market‑leading products in the water conditioning arena. Due to continued expansion of our Domestic team, we are looking to recruit an experienced Area Sales Manager to manage and develop our Eastern Region.
Role Overview
This is a key role within Aquabion UK Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing sales across a defined territory, building strong relationships with plumbing merchants, installers, and associated sales channels.
The ideal candidate will already be established within the region, have in‑depth knowledge of plumbing products, and a proven track record of selling technical solutions. Experience in water treatment and/or water conditioning would be a strong advantage.
Territory
The role covers the following postcode areas: AL, CB, CM, CO, E, EN, IG, IP, N, NR, RM, SG, SS
The successful candidate should be based centrally within this territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve Aquabion’s customers by promoting and selling the most appropriate products to meet customer needs.
- Manage and develop existing accounts while identifying and establishing new business opportunities.
- Plan and organise a daily work schedule to call on plumbing merchants, installers, bathroom showrooms, and other relevant sales outlets.
- Deliver tailored sales presentations, adapting content to suit merchants, installers, showrooms, and other stakeholders.
- Focus sales activity by analysing existing and potential sales volumes within the merchant base and planning weekly activity accordingly.
- Ensure all merchants are supplied with adequate point‑of‑sale materials and product literature.
- Conduct a minimum of two trade mornings per week, booked several weeks in advance.
- Accurately record activity and results using ZOHO CRM, maintaining a well‑organised approach to territory management.
- Monitor competitor activity, including pricing, products, new launches, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
- Provide feedback and recommendations on products, services, and policies based on market and competitive analysis.
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating issues and developing effective solutions.
- Maintain a high level of professional and technical knowledge within the plumbing and water conditioning industry.
- Present a professional image at all times, adhering to smart business‑casual dress standards (no light‑coloured jeans).
- Contribute to team success by sharing experiences and best practice.
- Report and feedback any health and safety concerns in line with company procedures.

- Proven experience in Plumbing Merchant sales
- Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills
- Excellent territory management and prospecting ability
- Confident negotiator with strong closing skills
- Self‑motivated with high levels of organisation and drive
- Strong product knowledge and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team
- Motivated by achieving and exceeding sales targets
Hours of Work & Benefits
- Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
- Annual Leave:
- 23 days per year, excluding bank holidays
- 1 additional day after 3 years’ service
- A further additional day after 5 years’ service
