Class 2 Driver (also required to work in the warehouse as and when required)

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver, who will also need to work in the warehouse, to join our well-established client based in Keynsham.

This is a fantastic opportunity, offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

Shifts:

• Monday – Friday: 05:00 – 06:00 start times

Rates of pay:

• Basic: £16.50 per hour

Day-to-day duties:

As a HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to):

• Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
• Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• When working in the WAREHOUSE you will be loading and unloading, picking and packing, helping the warehouse team

Essential skills:

To be successful as a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category C licence
• A minimum of twelve months experience driving Category C vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes
• A valid UK CPC card and Digi card
• Good spoken and written English
• Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills
• A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills
• DBS check will be required before starting the role

Desirable experience:

• Previous commercial driving experience
• Previous experience working in a warehouse
