HGV Class 2 Driver – Bicester, Oxfordshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity, offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

Shifts:

  • Monday to Friday, 07:00 – job finish

Rates of Pay:

  • £15.00 per hour (minimum nine hours guaranteed each day)

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Carrying out pallet deliveries throughout Oxfordshire
  • Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly
  • Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
  • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
  • Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when required

Essential Skills:

  • Valid UK Category C licence
  • Minimum twelve months' experience driving Category C vehicles
  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes
  • Valid UK CPC card and Digi card
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills
  • Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations
  • Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

  • Previous commercial driving experience
  • Previous multi-drop delivery experience

Training Provided

  • Driver assessment must be completed before starting
