Salary: £12.87 £14.03 per hour /£21,558.75 £23,501.25 per year
Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, MondayFriday, Term Time Only

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a small, nurturing alternative provision supporting children and young people who require a personalised approach to learning. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping learners re?engage with education, rebuild confidence, and reach their full potential.

What Youll Be Doing

You will play a key role in delivering flexible, individualised support through:

  • One to one sessions
  • Small group learning
  • Creative, hands?on activities
  • Community?based learning opportunities
Learners range from ages 7 to 19, many of whom may be lost to learning or unable to thrive in mainstream settings. Every day brings variety, challenge, and the chance to make a meaningful difference.

Who Were Looking For

You do not need extensive classroom experience to succeed. If you have worked with children or young people in any capacitypaid or voluntarywe can support your development. Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • The ability to motivate and inspire young people
  • GCSE Maths and English (or Functional Skills Level 2)
  • A proactive, creative, and adaptable approach
  • Confidence in promoting independence, positive behaviour, and personal development
  • Willingness to undertake training, including a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning if not already held
A driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred, as some learners require transport for community?based activities.
