Principal Platform & Identity Engineer (Hands‑On, Hybrid Architect Role)

Location: London / Hybrid

Salary: £90,000 + bonus + benefits

The Role

This is a hands-on technical leadership position within a large, high‑profile organisation undergoing significant infrastructure transformation over the next 3–5 years.

What You’ll Work On

• Own & evolve enterprise identity + infrastructure strategy
• Design, build & operate the next‑gen platform
• Drive IaC & automation (Terraform, Ansible, GitLab)
• Partner with Security & Architecture
• Act as senior technical authority during incidents
• Support shift to modern “as‑a‑service” models

What You Bring

Identity (priority):

Entra ID, AD, Azure SSO, Conditional Access, App Registrations, One Identity AR, JIT/ZTNA, ideally zScaler

Infra & Platform:

VMware (VCF), Linux, Microsoft stack, data centre fundamentals, networking

Automation:

Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD

Plus strong communication, stakeholder influence, and the ability to think in platforms, not tickets.
