Class 1 Driver (C+E) - Manchester
General Haulage
£15.00 per hour | 10 Week Temp-to-Perm | 06:00 Starts | Start Date: 16/03/2026

We're currently recruiting reliable and experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a 10-week temp-to-perm opportunity with a well-established general haulage operation based in Manchester. This role offers consistent day shifts, organised routes, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position after a successful temporary period.

The Role

• General haulage deliveries and collections
• 1-5 drops per day
• Delivering and collecting IBCs and drums
• All loading and unloading carried out on-site by forklifts
• Organised routes and professional transport planning
• Day shifts starting at 06:00
• Typical finish around 17:30
• Permanent position available after 10 weeks
• Start date: 16/03/2026

Requirements

• Full Class 1 (C+E) licence
• At least 2 years recent Class 1 driving experience
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Maximum 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)

Pay & Benefits

• £15.00 per hour
• Overtime at time and a half (£22.50 per hour) applies after 42.5 hours per week once permanent
• 10-week temp-to-perm opportunity

Your hourly rate is £15.00, plus £1.81 per hour accrued as holiday pay, which is banked and paid when you take annual leave. We do this to ensure our drivers are fairly compensated while taking the rest they need, as we believe regular rest is essential for safety and wellbeing.
