HGV Class 2 Driver - Drainage

**This is not a standard HGV Class 2 Driver role full training will be provided to develop you into a Jet Vac Engineer**

Our client offers a range of drainage solutions to domestic, commercial, and industrial markets.

The ideal candidate will need experience working as a HGV Class 2 Driver, everything else this role needs you to do requires no experience at all, as full training will be provided.

What we need from you to apply for this role:

  • Class 2 driving licence (required to drive tankers)
  • Lives within a 30-minute commute of the main office
  • Willing to undergo DBS and enhanced police checks
  • Willing to complete all required training
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confident carrying out daily and weekly vehicle/equipment checks
  • Physically fit the role includes manual labour

What the role involves:

You will be operating a drain and sewer cleaning vehicle and machinery, working across commercial and industrial sectors as well as residential properties. Other duties include:

  • Carrying out both emergency and planned works in drain cleaning and cleansing including emptying of septic tanks and interceptors
  • Working with other engineers as required to aid in other drainage tasks
  • Operating a van pack jetting unit as required

Salary: £30,000 £38,000 per year, depending on experience, plus overtime and on-call bonus.

Hours: Working 45 hours per week Monday to Friday. Overtime and weekend work is also available.

Core hours are 7.30am 4.30pm (Some flexibility is required on start/finish times).

On-call rota 1 week in 4 (Monday - Friday).

You will also be required to be on call for either a Saturday or Sunday once every 4 weeks.

Bank Holidays are also worked on a rota basis.
