HGV Class 2 Driver

Job description

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in Bristol area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.

Roles Available:

• HGV Class 2 Nights
• HGV Class 2 - Days

Shifts:

• HGV Class 2 Nights - Across Monday to Sunday (weekend availability is required) - start times between 20:00pm - 02:00am
• HGV Class 2 Days - Friday & Saturday with potential for Sunday - start times between 05:00am - 07:15am

Pay Rate:

• Class 2 Days - £15.60 per hour PAYE
• Class 2 Nights - £17.59 per hour PAYE

Location: Bristol, BS35

Job Type: Ongoing with opportunity for perm

The role:

• Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
• Handling runs with 4-5 stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
