HGV Class 2 Driver

Job description

Driver Hire Carlisle are currently looking for a Class 2 (HGV) Driver to join a well-established client based in Carlisle. This role involves delivering home furniture across the UK, usually working as part of a two-person team with a drivers mate.

This is an active role with regular lifting involved, but its ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, working as part of a team, and getting out on the road.

Pay and benefits:

• £15.50 per hour (including holiday pay) for the first 8 hours

• £19.00 per hour overtime rate after 8 hours

• £25 night-out allowance for each night away

• Earning potential of £900 per week if away all week

• Pay review scheduled for April

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence

• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and lifting furniture

• A positive attitude and good teamwork skills
