Overview An opportunity has arisen for a Legal Cashier to join a well-regarded and long-standing law firm known for delivering expert legal advice across multiple practice areas including property, family, litigation, and private client matters.As a Legal Cashier , you will support the accounts function, managing day-to-day legal finance processes while working closely with colleagues and clients.This is a 6-month contract-based role offering a salary range of £27,000 - £30,000 and benefits.Responsibilities Managing financial transactions arising from legal matters and internal business activity, including accurate posting to client and office accountsOverseeing daily banking operations, including reconciliations, bank transfers and electronic paymentsPreparing cheques and maintaining control of payment processesAdministering and reconciling petty cash and the purchase ledgerSupporting VAT administration, returns and related complianceAssisting with month-end and year-end financial close proceduresReviewing and validating completion statementsVerifying, posting and reconciling invoicesQualifications Previously worked as a Legal Cashier, Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Legal Accountant, Accounts Administrator, Billing Assistant or in a similar role.Must possess prior legal cashiering experience.Familiarity with legal accounting systems is advantageousA highly organised and detail-focused approachAbility to work accurately, methodically and to deadlinesThis is a great opportunity for a Legal Cashier seeking a stable, well-structured contract within a respected legal practice.Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
