Quality Engineer

Job description

Escape Recruitment is recruiting a Quality Engineer or Quality Advisor for our client, a leading manufacturer based in West Lothian.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving quality standards, supporting audits, managing calibration systems, and driving continuous improvement to ensure top product quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Quality Manager in maintaining and improving quality standards across production.
• Manage and maintain the calibration system, ensuring gauges are calibrated and traceable.
• Take part in internal and external audits, and customer audits.
• Manage non-conformance issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain quality documentation, records, and databases to ensure compliance and traceability.
• Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and drive improvements.

About You

• Experienced working within a Quality role - ideally from manufacturing but other environments may be considered.
• Knowledge of quality standards and quality management systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Confident communicator, able to work well with cross-functional teams and customers.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel; experience with Minitab or similar tools is a bonus.
• Able to work full-time on site, Monday to Friday, and occasionally travel for supplier audits.
