Project Controls Reporting Analyst

PACE Global is looking for a Project Controls Reporting Analyst

Job description

Project Controls Reporting Analyst

£50,000 – £70,000

Any UK main city (Hybrid with more remote %)

Maths degree preferred

My client is hiring a Project Controls Reporting Analyst to work across some of the UK's most complex infrastructure programmes — nuclear, rail, defence, aviation.

This isn't a dashboard-builder role.

You'll own the analytical integrity behind cost intelligence that senior stakeholders, programme teams, and independent assurance bodies actually rely on.

Not just how to build a dashboard — but what the numbers mean, where the uncertainty lives, and why the model's conclusions might be wrong?

What you'll be doing:

→ Analysing large, complex cost datasets — variability, uncertainty, distributions, outliers

→ Producing cost intelligence outputs that hold up under scrutiny

→ Building benchmarks, models, and analytical frameworks across major programmes

→ Presenting complex analysis clearly to senior, non-technical audiences

→ Defending your conclusions under challenge — and doing it with confidence

→ Driving automation and tooling to improve consistency

What we're looking for:

→ Strong data analysis — you understand variability, distributions, and confidence

→ Advanced Excel and Power BI · SQL a bonus · Python desirable

→ Experience in cost, commercial, or capital project environments

→ Intellectually rigorous — you push back on weak inference, not just accept it

→ Clear communicator who can turn numbers into decisions

You can be based anywhere in the UK and ideally will have project delivery experience.
