Verification and Validation Engineer

Bristol | Primarily On-Site (4–5 days per week) | Circa £55,000 + Bonus & Benefits


A leading defence engineering organisation is seeking a Verification and Validation Engineer to support the development and assurance of complex software-intensive systems. This is a key role within high-integrity engineering programmes where ensuring systems meet requirements and perform reliably is essential.


Key Responsibilities:

• Support validation and verification activities to ensure systems meet technical requirements

• Define and develop test scenarios, success criteria, and verification strategies

• Produce verification plans and agree methods with engineering teams

• Collaborate with systems, software, and integration teams across the programme

• Contribute to delivering robust, reliable solutions for demanding operational environments


What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in systems engineering or systems design, particularly with software-based systems

• Degree-qualified or equivalent technical experience

• Understanding of validation and verification processes within complex programmes

• Familiarity with SysML, DOORS, or Rhapsody is desirable (training provided if needed)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
