7.5 Tonne Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Ilkeston area. We are looking for several dedicated 7.5 Tonne Driver (Cat C1 ) to join the team.

Hours:Monday to Friday, 08:00am starts

Pay Rate:£15.00 per hour PAYE

Location:IIkeston, DE7

Job Type: Ongoing

The role:

• Securely moving and transporting palletised or loose parcels to customers or businesses.
• Packages will be heavy (up to 80kg weight)
• Up to 30 drops per day.
• Drivers will be required to unload and load - trucks will be fitted with tail lift for palletised goods
• Focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with C1 entitlement (7.5 Tonne).
• 12 months experience required
• Be comfortable with heavy lifting and handballing
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
