- Manchester General Haulage £15.00 per hour | 10 Week Temp-to-Perm | 06:00 Starts | Start Date: 16/03/2026 We're currently recruiting reliable and experienced Class 1 (CE) Drivers for a 10-week temp-to-perm opportunity with a well-established general haulage operation based in Manchester .
This role offers consistent day shifts, organised routes, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position after a successful temporary period.
The Role General haulage deliveries and collections 1-5 drops per day Delivering and collecting IBCs and drums All loading and unloading carried out on-site by forklifts Organised routes and professional transport planning Day shifts starting at 06:00 Typical finish around 17:30 Permanent position available after 10 weeks Start date: 16/03/2026 Requirements Full Class 1 (CE) licence At least 2 years recent Class 1 driving experience Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card Maximum 6 penalty points (no major endorsements) Pay & Benefits £15.00 per hour Overtime at time and a half (£22.50 per hour) applies after 42.5 hours per week once permanent 10-week temp-to-perm opportunity Consistent daytime shifts Well-maintained vehicles Supportive and experienced transport team Your hourly rate is £15.00 , plus £1.81 per hour accrued as holiday pay , which is banked and paid when you take annual leave.
