About The RoleAre you ready to lead and inspire a team in a cutting‐edge facility that dispatches three hundred pallets and 8,000 parcels daily to 25,000 customers across the UK and Ireland? Arco, the UK's leading integrated health and safety experts, invites you to be a pivotal part of our National Distribution Centre (NDC) team in Hull.

As a Warehouse Team Leader you will manage and lead a team of around 25 to achieve laid down objectives for a specific area(s) of the National Distribution Centre (NDC) which leads to overall achievement of the warehouse function and continuous improvement.

Please note this Warehouse Team Leader role is for our night shift, which is Sunday night through to Thursday night with Fridays and Saturdays as days off each week. The working hours are 22:00 to 06:00.

Key Responsibilities

Taking responsibility for the output of a specific team and the quality of the work produced

Managing all Health & Safety matters in their area of work

Leading on people management for your team such as performance management, absence management, recruitment, retention, discipline and team briefings

Resource planning and utilisation including budgetary planning and control

Providing excellent customer service levels (internal / external customers)

Training and staff development

Providing cover and cooperation with all other departments / sectors of National Distribution Centre

Qualifications

Working knowledge of warehouse processes and procedures

A proven track record of staff management

Good written and verbal communication skills

Good numerical skills

Manual handling experience

Experience of working to deadlines and a high level of attention to detail

Basic IT Skills

A strong understanding of Health & Safety within the warehouse
