Technical Sales Advisor

Job description

Overview This Technical Sales Advisor is a fixed term contract covering maternity leave. Our Hose Division designs, specifies, and supplies a full range of industrial hose solutions for sectors such as oil and gas, manufacturing, marine, and construction. From high-pressure offshore assemblies to bespoke hose configurations, we ensure every product meets high standards of safety, reliability, and performance. We also produce custom-built hose assemblies with testing and certification for customer confidence. This role will be the go-to expert for complex and non-standard hose requirements, combining technical expertise with commercial awareness to create accurate, profitable quotations and deliver end-to-end customer service. This is a dynamic role where no two enquiries are the same; you'll manage customer requirements via phone, email, and internal systems, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance at every step.

Key Responsibilities Provide accurate technical advice on hose products and assembliesRead and understand customer drawings and technical specificationsPrepare accurate quotations and orders using our SAP systemDeliver excellent customer service through phone, email, and internal systemsSupport with promotional activities and customer feedback processesWork collaboratively across teams to meet customer needs and business goals

The ideal Technical Sales Advisor will be/have A willingness to learn and be curious about how things work and enjoy problem-solvingCommunicates clearly and confidentlyIs organised, accurate, and eager to take on new challengesPrevious knowledge or experience using SAP would be beneficialTrack record of great customer service is essential
