Job Title: Driver / Logistics Operative - ConstructionLocation: South West London & North SurreySalary: GBP125 - GBP150 per day (depending on experience)Job Type: Full Time, PermanentAbout the role:We are a growing construction company looking for a reliable and proactive Driver / Logistics Operative to support our site teams.This role is key to keeping projects running efficiently. You'll be responsible for delivering materials, moving plant, and ensuring the right equipment is on site at the right time-helping reduce downtime and unnecessary costs.This is not just a driving role - we are looking for someone who takes ownership, plans ahead, and keeps operations running smoothly.Key Responsibilities:Deliver and collect plant, materials, and tools to sites across South West London and North SurreyLoad and unload vehicles safely, including heavy materials and equipmentPlan efficient routes using apps such as Waze to minimise delays and fuel usageCoordinate with site teams to ensure deliveries and collections are on timeTrack hired plant and equipment, ensuring off-hiring is completed promptly to avoid un-necessary costsCarry out daily vehicle checks and keep the vehicle clean and well maintainedSupport yard organisation and stock control when requiredRepresent the company professionally with suppliers and clientsAbout you:Requirements:Full, clean UK driving licencePhysically fit and able to handle heavy liftingMust have a smartphone and be comfortable using apps for navigation, communication, and basic trackingStrong organisational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and take initiativeReliable, punctual, and trustworthyDesirable (Not Essential):Experience in construction or a similar roleBasic knowledge of construction materials and plantGood understanding of site operations and health & safetyWhat We're Looking For:Someone who takes ownership and keeps jobs running efficientlyA problem-solver who can adapt to changing schedulesA team player with good communication skillsSomeone who understands that good logistics reduces delays and saves moneyWhat We Offer:Company vehicle provided for work useStable, long-term role with a growing companyOpportunity to progress within the businessSupportive team environmentCandidates with experience of; Van Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi-drop Driver, Multi Drop Driver, Product Transportation, Class 1 Driver, Logistics Operative, Warehouse Operative, Logistics Planner, Plant Operative, Loader may also be considered for this role.
