Internal / External Sales Account Manager – EDM Consumables and Graphite Products

Erodex (UK) Ltd are looking for a Sales Account Manager to be predominantly based at our Halesowen site with occasional travel to Customer sites nationally.

The Sales Account Manager will work closely with the Head of UK EDM Sales to manage and develop relationships with existing customers while proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities within the UK market. This role combines both internal sales activities (office‐based account management, remote selling) and external responsibilities (customer visits, meetings, and industry events).

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, commercially driven, and skilled at managing a diverse customer portfolio while contributing to growth targets.

Duties will include:Account Management & Customer Retention

Manage and grow a portfolio of existing UK accounts through proactive communication and relationship‐building.

Understand customer requirements and provide tailored product or service recommendations.

Handle enquiries, quotations, follow‐ups, and order coordination.

Monitor customer activity to identify upsell and cross‐sell opportunities.

Resolve customer issues with speed and professionalism.

New Business Development

Identify and target new business opportunities across the UK market.

Conduct outbound calls, emails, research, and customer visits to develop new relationships.

Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.

Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.

Achieve targets for new customer acquisition and sales revenue.

Sales Strategy & Reporting

Develop and implement structured sales plans for accounts and prospects.

Maintain accurate CRM records including activity, opportunities, and pipeline updates.

Provide regular reports and forecasts to the management team.

Collaborate with marketing to support campaigns and promotions.

Conduct customer visits throughout the UK to strengthen relationships and secure new business.

Hold review meetings, deliver product updates, and support negotiations.

Represent the business professionally in all external interactions.

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development.

Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‐building skills.

Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.

Competent with CRM systems, Microsoft 365, and typical sales tools. (HubSpot and Microsoft Business Central would be advantageous)

Self‐motivated, target‐driven, and confident working independently.

Knowledge of the EDM (Electro Discharge Machining) process would be an advantage, although not essential.
