Internal Sales & Business Development Manager

Job description

A well-established distributor of data networking products is looking for an experienced Internal Sales & Business Development Manager to join their successful team in Milton Keynes. In this role, you'll be building strong relationships with B2B customers, growing existing accounts, re-engaging dormant ones, and identifying new sales opportunities within a specialist market.

With over 40 years of industry expertise, the business you'll be joining supplies cutting-edge products to the electrical wholesale market, data infrastructure installers, and industrial end users. They are part of an impressive, privately-owned group that already employ over 2,000 people across the UK.

Role ResponsibilitiesAs an Internal Sales & Business Development Manager, you'll be an integral part of the internal sales team. Your focus will be on strengthening customer relationships, driving sales, and providing exceptional service. You will:

Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers

Proactively reach out to dormant accounts and generate new business

Promote and sell products to customers currently buying from competitors

Handle incoming enquiries, produce quotations, process orders, and follow up

Raise awareness of the company's product range and brand

Occasionally attend external customer meetings when required

RewardsAs an Interna Sales & Business Development Manager, you will receive:

Starting salary of £33,000 – £37,000 (depending on experience)

Uncapped bonus

Excellent company pension scheme

25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm with 1 hour lunch (hours can be flexible if needed, e.g. 8:30am – 5:30pm)

Requirements

Must have proven sales and business development experience, preferably within data networking and/or electrical wholesale markets

A confident and enthusiastic individual with a proactive approach

Experience in managing your own customer base

Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset

Ability to multitask, stay organised, and work well under pressure

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)

A great team player with a positive attitude
