What You'll Be Doing

Leading, coaching, and developing a team responsible for sourcing and managing work placements

Driving employer engagement activity - including business development, networking, and lead generation

Building and maintaining strong relationships with local, regional, and national employers

Ensuring consistent achievement of placement targets and KPIs

Using data and performance metrics to improve outcomes and processes

Overseeing the full work placement lifecycle - from sourcing to quality assurance

Supporting employers with guidance to ensure successful placement experiences

Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and data protection standards

Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align placement activity with wider organisational goals

What We're Looking ForThis role needs someone who can balance leadership with commercial awareness. If you're just a people manager with no delivery focus - this won't land. Likewise, if you're purely sales-driven but can't lead a team - it'll show quickly.

You'll likely bring

Experience in employer engagement, business development, or placement programmes

Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to hit targets

Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills

Confidence working with data to drive decisions and improvements

A proactive, self-directed approach - you won't be micromanaged

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Bonus points if you have

Experience within education, training, or skills-based environments

Exposure to industry placements, apprenticeships, or similar programmes

Experience working with CRM systems and reporting tools
