Driver Hire and dh Recruitment (Torbay) are currently recruiting for an experienced Van Driver (3.5 tonne Category B Driver) to join a well‐established distribution operation based in Newton Abbot, South Devon.

This is a full‐time permanent position offering consistent work and reliable weekly pay.

The role operates on a Thursday to Monday shift pattern, making it ideal for drivers who prefer weekday time off while working within a structured delivery operation.

You will be responsible for operating a 3.5 tonne van, completing customer deliveries safely while providing excellent service at every stop.

What You Need To Know

Based in Newton Abbot, South Devon

£13.68 per hour (PAYE Advance)

Weekly pay every Friday via PAYE Advance (other PAYE models are available)

Permanent full‐time position

Thursday to Monday shift pattern

Early morning starts

8 to 10 hour shifts providing consistent weekly earnings

The RoleYou will be responsible for completing deliveries across South Devon while operating a 3.5 tonne van safely and efficiently.

This role involves working as part of a professional delivery team, ensuring all deliveries are completed to a high standard while providing excellent customer service at each location.

Key Responsibilities

Driving a 3.5 tonne Category B delivery van safely and responsibly

Completing customer deliveries efficiently and professionally

Representing the business positively when interacting with customers

Following all health and safety procedures and transport regulations

Maintaining punctuality and reliability across scheduled shifts

Reporting any vehicle or route issues to the relevant team members

Essential Requirements

Full and valid Category B driving licence

Previous experience as a van driver, delivery driver or multi‐drop driver

Ability to work confidently in a busy distribution environment

Strong reliability and good time management

Flexibility to work the Thursday to Monday shift pattern

Desirable Experience

Knowledge of delivery routes across South Devon

Experience working within a logistics or distribution environment

Please note that this role requires previous van delivery experience, as minimal on‐the‐job training will be available.
