Role:SEND Specialist Facilitator - INTERNAL ONLY
Location:Tresham College - Kettering, Corby and Wellingborough Campuses
Salary/Benefits:Salary is between £35,894 and £47,971 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 35 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, Teacher's pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks:37 hours per week - 52 weeks per year

About the role:
Role Purpose - Deliver specialist support and interventions for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities across all study programmes, focusing on SEND specialisms (Neurodiversity, SEMH, SPLD).
Teaching & Support - Plan and deliver 1:1 sessions, small groups, and workshops; employ specialist strategies and accessible technology to promote independence and progress.
Collaboration & CPD - Support curriculum staff to embed inclusive practice, facilitate cross-college CPD, and share best practice to improve teaching and learning for SEND learners.
Monitoring & Administration - Set and review learner targets, track attendance and achievement, maintain accurate records, and contribute to EHCP annual reviews and curriculum performance reports.
Statutory Duties - Uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, and health & safety standards; engage in ongoing training and development to maintain professional expertise.
About you:
Qualifications - A Levels or equivalent; GCSE English and Maths (A-C); Degree or Level 5 qualification in a SEND specialist area (ASD, SPLD, SEMH).
Knowledge & Experience - Strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice (2014), safeguarding, equality and diversity; experience supporting young people with SEND/EHCP in FE settings and leading meetings with stakeholders.
Technical Skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT systems; ability to produce professional reports; excellent administrative and record-keeping skills; understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
Core Competencies - Effective communication (verbal, written, telephone), strong organisational and time-management skills, ability to prioritise workload, work under pressure, innovate, and adapt to change.
