Seasonal Plant Supervisor– Canterbury Chartham Garden CentreLocation: Canterbury Chartham Garden Centre – Canterbury Road, Chartham, Canterbury

Hours: Full time, including alternate weekend working

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Are you passionate about plants and retail leadership? We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Seasonal Plant Supervisor to support and drive our Seasonal Plant Department at Canterbury Chartham Garden Centre. This is a hands‐on supervisory role focused on maintaining exceptional retail standards, maximising sales, and delivering outstanding customer service.

The RoleAs Seasonal Plant Supervisor, you will support the Department Manager in ensuring the Seasonal Plant area is commercially successful, visually inspiring, and maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Ordering seasonal plant stock and monitoring availability

Reviewing performance reports and identifying opportunities to drive sales

Managing merchandising plans and stock exit strategies

Identifying and taking action on slow‐moving stock

Ensuring POS materials are accurate and displayed correctly

Maintaining exceptional retail and housekeeping standards across the department

Creating visual and inspirational plant displays to maximise sales

Providing knowledgeable advice to customers and assisting with carry‐to‐car service

Using the EPOS system confidently and accurately

Following up on action points from reports and floor walks

Deputy Responsibilities

Deputising for the Department Manager during holidays and days off

Organising daily and weekly team tasks

Communicating updates, instructions, and guidelines from the wider plant team

Escalating any issues or concerns to senior management
