About The RoleJob Purpose: To ensure effective control, accuracy and management of site stock and stores operations. This includes leading regular stock takes, maintaining accountability for all goods, and overseeing audits to ensure alignment with business systems. The role involves co‐ordinating stock movements, including returns to suppliers, and managing multiple store locations whilst maintaining high standards of organisation, cleanliness and safety. It also requires producing regular stock reports, supporting waste management processes, and ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations. Working collaboratively with various departments, the role plays a key part in resolving stock queries and maintaining efficient, safe and compliant stores operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead role in 6 monthly / annual stock takes

Responsible for all stores‐based goods

Organising the return of excess stock to suppliers

Responsible for quarterly van stock audit process to ensuring primary business systems align

Control of all stores, including remote (currently 2) with occasional travel to sites

Responsible for cycle counting, helping to resolve any queries

Lifting and moving supplies

Responsible for weekly and monthly stock reporting

Implementation and monitoring of H&S compliance in stores that are set out by the Business Governance department

Ensure the stores area (including the yard) remains clean and tidy

Organise waste management/paperwork & services

Coordinating and collaborating with various departments

Reporting environmental and health and safety concerns to the H&S manager

Skills / Qualifications

Full UK Driving licence – Essential

Ability to work autonomously

Stock Controller experience

Supply Chain experience

Inventory Management

Assertive nature

Confident IT skills

Collaborative Approach

Process driven with a desire for continual improvement

Willingness to learn – vocational training provided where appropriate

Strong problem‐solving skills

Effective organisational skills

Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role desirable
