About this jobWe're looking for compassionate and caring Nursing Assistants to be a key part of the patient care journey at 91 Dermot Murphy Close.

Key responsibilities

Communicate in a sensitive and compassionate manner with patients, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team.

Provide consistent, high‐quality, patient‐focused care to patients with complex physical health needs.

Support patients with personal care needs, including mobilising, toileting, bathing, dressing, eating and drinking.

Assist with delegated clinical duties such as recording patient observations and changes to conditions following training and assessment.

Work 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, including weekends, bank holidays and nights (internal rotation onto nights required).

Work within a 22‐bedded, purpose‐built Continuing Care Unit located in South Manchester.

Collaborate with Registered Nurses and adhere to Trust guidelines and protocols to deliver excellent patient care.

Qualifications and experience

Experience as a Nursing Assistant or related healthcare support role.

Willingness to undertake training and assessment for delegated clinical care duties.

Strong communication skills and ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.

Capacity to work flexible hours, including weekends, bank holidays and rotation onto nights.

Commitment to continuous learning – completion of the Support Worker Development Programme leads to progression to a Band 3 Nursing Assistant role.
