Job Title: Sessional Employability Tutor

Salary: Up to £31.24 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities

Deliver high‐quality employability teaching and coaching to unemployed learners referred by the DWP, primarily through SWAP employability courses.

Recruit, plan, and deliver employability units, maintain regular contact to monitor progress, and ensure each learner receives meaningful, tailored support.

Manage assessment activities, track achievement, maintain accurate records, and complete associated administrative tasks.

Develop and maintain high‐quality learning resources and actively support learners to progress into employment, self‐employment, apprenticeships or further study.

Qualifications and Experience

A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one, together with a relevant subject qualification, is essential.

Strong experience working with diverse and often vulnerable learners, with the ability to motivate, inspire and engage.

Excellent communication and organisational skills and a commitment to continuous professional development.
