Customer Delivery Driver/Picker

OverviewThis position is working 24 hours per week, any 3 in 6 days including bank holidays.

Our drivers are the face of our business and their interaction with our customers is crucial to our success. In this role you will be delivering frozen Wiltshire Farm Foods meals and bringing sunshine to our customers' doors (no matter what the weather is doing). You will work within a coldstore that runs at -20oc and will be provided with protective clothing, as well as breaks to warm up and have a hot drink when necessary. You will be part of a wider team and will support both the delivery and picking teams.

Responsibilities

Deliver frozen meals to our customers in a timely manner.

Pick orders within the coldstore.

Use our app to update customers on deliveries.

Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.

Undertake pre‐shift inspection of your van.

Drive safely, responsibly and within the law.

Clean and refuel your van as and when needed.

Contact the office with any discrepancies or delays.

Ensure customer confidentiality.

Help the office team and picking team when required.

Report health and safety, stock quality and mechanical issues.

Assist the team if another member is absent or on holiday.

Carry out local marketing activities such as leaflet door drops and sheltered housing visits to attract new customers.

Essential Qualifications

Experience within a customer service‐based role.

Full UK Manual Driving Licence.

Basic computer literacy including use of phone apps.

Evidence of work stability.

Basic secondary education.

You must have held a UK manual driving licence for at least 2 years.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience in a multi‐drop delivery role.

Experience within a care‐based role.

Warehouse experience.

Health & Safety awareness.

Personal Qualities

Friendly, approachable and reliable.

Passionate about delivering excellent customer service.

Good attendance and timekeeping.
