About the Role We are looking for a talented and driven Junior Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at a high-end, fresh food gastro pub in Tonbridge. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to work with high-quality, seasonal ingredients in a busy, well-respected kitchen.Key Responsibilities Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchenHelp lead and motivate the kitchen brigade during busy servicesMaintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistencyAssist with menu development using fresh, seasonal produceEnsure all food hygiene, health, and safety standards are maintainedManage stock control, ordering, and minimise wasteTrain and support junior members of the kitchen teamRequirements Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie in a fresh food environmentExperience working in a busy, high-volume kitchenPassion for quality ingredients and modern British gastro pub foodStrong organisational skills and ability to perform under pressureGood leadership and communication skillsKnowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance standardsWhat We Offer Competitive salary £32,000 - £35,000 depending on experienceTronc and performance-based bonusLive-in accommodation available if requiredOpportunity to work in a high-quality gastro pub with a strong reputationSupportive team environment with opportunities for progression
