Your Impact as Newbuilding Project ManagerWe're seeking a passionate and experienced overseas Newbuilding Project Manager to join our team in Yangzhou, China. This exciting 3-years assignment offers you the chance to make your mark leading a series of PTCP vessels.
Area China North is part of DNV's Maritime Region Greater China, where approximately 170 talented professionals across 4 stations work together to deliver world-class ship classification and certification services.
As our Newbuilding Project Manager, you'll drive excellence through the entire project lifecycle. You'll be the face of DNV, building relationships with shipyard teams and owners while coordinating expert teams to ensure world-class delivery.
Your Opportunity to Learn and GrowThis role places you at the center of complex maritime projects, where you'll:
Lead end-to-end newbuilding projects from initial sales handover through successful completion
Serve as the primary liaison between shipbuilders, owners' representatives, and internal DNV teams
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and foster cross-functional collaboration
Develop your leadership capabilities while managing diverse stakeholder relationships
Expand your global perspective through immersion in Chinese maritime industry and culture

The Expertise We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate will bring:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or experience as Chief Engineer
Minimum 5 years of Newbuilding experience as Class Surveyor
Solid understanding of classification roles, rules, and class systematics
Experience as a Newbuilding Project Manager
Advantegous to have experience with PCTC ship type
Fluent verbal and written command of English
