Junior Accountant

Job description

Hybrid working: 3 days in the office and up to 2 remote working days weekly.

We're looking for a Junior Accountant to join our high performing Finance team. The ideal candidate is someone who combines attention to detail with accountability, someone who takes ownership of tasks, asks questions when something doesn't look right and understands that strong financial foundations enable confident business decisions.

What you'll be doing

Accounting for invoices received from suppliers in the company accounting mailbox.

Charging clients management and transaction fees as requested by the client management team.

Reconciling company bank accounts to ensure balances per the accounting system and bank statements are consistent and ensuring that payments made are accurate.

Preparing summaries of outstanding amounts payable to suppliers and ensuring that suppliers are paid on a timely basis.

Reviewing and approving payments made through company cards and importing transactions into the accounting system.

Responding to finance queries received from internal and external stakeholders.

About you, you have

Bachelor's degree in accounting and finance, (or other relevant field with exposure to accounting) / AAT qualification (preferred)

Good communication skills for working with our international team

Ability to work autonomously with a keen attention to detail.

Knowledge of accounting principles including the accrual principle, matching principle and historic cost principle.
