About The RoleTo support the implementation and monitoring of Quality Assurance and Food Safety programmes within Czarnikow's Ingredients business. This role assists in ensuring that suppliers and subcontractors follow safe food‐handling practices, maintain product quality, and comply with regulatory and customer requirements.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Assist in the onboarding and monitoring of suppliers and service providers (warehouses, hauliers, inspection companies, laboratories).

Help review and organise documentation such as audit reports, product specifications, certificates, and process flows.

Maintain up‐to‐date supplier records in internal systems.

Support the investigation of incoming quality complaints, gathering information from internal teams and supply‐chain partners.

Document findings and assist with corrective action tracking.

Develop foundational technical and regulatory knowledge to identify gaps in supplier practices, product requirements, or documentation.

Assist senior team members in driving improvement initiatives with suppliers and subcontractors.

Help maintain internal QMS documentation including supplier programmes, risk assessments, approvals, audits, and performance data.

Support updates to raw material specifications and technical records.

Conduct or assist in risk‐based evaluations for ingredients.

Assist with risk assessments for transport, storage, and handling for new supply routes or geographies.

Support the maintenance of company food safety and quality certifications (e.g., BRCGS and GMP+).

Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry systems, and regulatory changes influencing ingredient safety, traceability, and quality.

Assist in preparing quarterly quality performance reports and other internal documentation as needed.

About YouWe are looking for someone with the following skillset and attributes:

Essential

Studying toward or recently completed a degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Quality Assurance, Microbiology, Nutrition, or related field.

0-2 years' experience in a food safety or quality environment (internship, placement, or full‐time).

Strong attention to detail and ability to review technical documents.

Basic understanding of food safety principles (HACCP, GMP, allergens, contamination risks).

Good communication and time‐management skills.

Willingness to learn and work collaboratively across different functions.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with QMS systems is beneficial.

Desirable

Ability to speak a second language.
