This is a senior frontline position that includes both high-quality hands-on care and leadership duties to make sure that services are delivered safely, effectively, and with the person in mind.You will be a role model for the care professionals, help supervise team members, and help the Team Leader and Management Team with client monitoring, quality assurance, and care coordination.This job is perfect for a Healthcare Assistant who has been working for a while and is eager to move up in their career.Main Duties: Clinical and Care Duties Follow each person's care plan and give them high-quality, person-centred care.Help with personal care tasks like washing, dressing, grooming, and caring for incontinenceHelp clients move about, make transfers, and utilise equipment safely.Give out and keep track of prescriptions according to business policyKeep an eye on, write down, and report vital signs and changes in the client's condition.Help with food, water, and meal prepGive care that focuses on emotional support, friendship, and dignity.Keep the care environment clean, safe, and comfortable.Responsibilities for Seniors and Leaders Be the main point of contact for caretakers during shiftsHelp the Team Leader by giving staff instructions, doing spot inspections and supervising in the field.Help new care staff learn by mentoring and shadowing themEncourage safe work habits, high standards of care, and best practices.Help with care plan reviews and tell management about any problemsTalk to families and healthcare professionals in a professional wayHelp with reporting incidents and following safety rulesMake sure that records and documents are kept correctly.Help in planning visits and coordinating the support rota when needed.Set a good example to encourage teamwork, professionalism, and kindness.Important Skills and Experience At least two years of experience in a healthcare or home care settingExperience giving out medicine and keeping MAR recordsA good awareness of person-centred care and safety protocolsExperience helping or coaching other care workersConfident in spotting and reporting clinical problemsGreat communication and people skillsAbility to work alone and run shifts wellGood at organising and managing your timeAble to keep records and write care notes wellA caring, professional, and dependable way to give careQualifications that are desired NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working toward it)Training for Giving MedicationsTraining in Moving and HandlingExperience helping clients with complicated demandsWhat We Have Pay rates that are competitiveMoving up in your career to become a Team Leader or ManagerTraining and professional development that never endsA work atmosphere that is helpful and works togetherChance to make a real difference every dayHow to Apply We would love to hear from you if you are an experienced Healthcare Assistant who wants to move up to a senior post with leadership duties.Please send in your CV to apply.
