We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Technical Buyer to join our procurement team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who loves engineering, sailing, and sport - and wants to contribute directly to the success of a world‐class racing programme.As a Technical Buyer, you will play a key role in ensuring that the team has the high‐quality components, materials and services needed to perform at maximum capability. You'll work closely with designers, engineers, boatbuilders, and external suppliers to source parts, manage procurement timelines and support build and development projects. This is a hands‐on role where you'll gain exposure to advanced engineering, composite manufacturing, high‐performance systems, and world‐leading sporting operations.Key Responsibilities Source and procure technical components, materials, and services in line with engineering specifications.Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships across the marine, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing sectors.Work closely with engineering and design teams to understand requirements, lead times, and technical constraints.Manage RFQs, purchase orders, delivery schedules, and part documentation.Support inventory control, cost tracking, and budget adherence.Identify and evaluate alternative suppliers or materials to improve performance, lead time, or cost efficiency.Coordinate logistics for critical components needed for boat builds, testing, and race operations.Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and supplier performance.Skills / Experience A recent university graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Materials Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline preferred but not essential.Strong interest in sailing, sports, or high‐performance technology.Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.Highly organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‐moving environment.Detail‐oriented with a problem‐solving mindset.Comfortable reading engineering drawings and technical specifications (or eager to learn).Enthusiastic, curious, and motivated by being part of a small, high‐impact team.Be part of a world‐class America's Cup team working at the intersection of sport and technology, with the chance to contribute directly to our sporting success and push the limits of human and technological performance.Opportunities for growth — we have openings from junior to senior levels, and will look to develop you to be part of the future of our team.Competitive package with:25 days annual leave (plus public holidays) per annum, Company Pension Scheme, Private Medical Insurance, Life Assurance, Cycle to Work Scheme.
